Flood Relief Mission 2026

In 2026, severe flooding affected several regions of Bangladesh, leaving thousands of families stranded and struggling to meet their basic needs. Continuous heavy rainfall and overflowing rivers submerged homes, roads, croplands, and community facilities. Many families were forced to take shelter on higher ground, while access to food, clean drinking water, and essential supplies became increasingly difficult.

Recognizing the urgent humanitarian need, Mother Ayesha Foundation launched an emergency flood relief mission to support the affected communities. Our dedicated team traveled to the flood-hit areas of Burichong, Cumilla, where many villages remained isolated and accessible only by boat.

Carrying relief supplies, our volunteers navigated deep into flooded villages to reach families who had been cut off from regular services and assistance. Each relief package contained essential dry food items and emergency necessities, including rice, chira (flattened rice), biscuits, mineral water, sugar, and other important supplies required for daily survival during the crisis.

Throughout the mission, our team met countless families who had lost access to food and clean water due to the flooding. Despite the difficult conditions, we were inspired by the resilience and determination of the local people. The relief packages provided immediate support and brought hope to many households facing uncertainty.

As part of our commitment to ensuring that aid reached as many people as possible, the remaining relief supplies were formally handed over to the Bangladesh Army. With their extensive operational capabilities and presence in the affected areas, they were able to continue distributing assistance to additional communities in need.
